Life is a balance of work and play
A constant balance between night and day
The balance between good and bad
A balance between happy and sad
Friends and family, pets and the lawn
Twenty four seven, your whole life long
Then one day in the middle of the night

Backyard

Hanging clothes to dry out on the line
Going back to the past... to a much simpler time
The sun is beating down, warming up the day
Tractors in the field, bailing up hay
The sound of summer bug's filling the air
Cat's sunning themselves without a single care
Hoping for a breeze to break this heat
Knowing tomorrow this all will repeat
