Closed behind the scorched window

A name can do many things.
It can make someone feel a variety of feelings.
It can strike fear into the hearts of people.
Remind someone of an old friend or love.
...

When there is death of a family member, I shed no tears.
For them I stay strong.
When there is death of a friend, I shed no tears.
For them I stay strong.

Scortched Glass

Closed behind the scorched window

A flicker of light burns through a scratch in the glass

Shut out from the world and cast into the darkness

A flame of rage burns in my heart which can never be extinguished,

I am not with friends or family, i am in the darkness with my own kind,

The demons.

I see myself fading as I’m pulled back evermore into the dreaded darkness,

Ever slowly,

Every time it happens they devour a piece of the mask with which i hide,

And in doing so shows me for my true self,

One of them,

A husk of rage and hate.

A demon.
