A Name Poem by Rhys Jasper

A name can do many things.
It can make someone feel a variety of feelings.
It can strike fear into the hearts of people.
Remind someone of an old friend or love.

It can bring sadness, hatred or rage,
Or make someone's day.
It could be screamed.
Or whispered.
But in the end it is only a name.

Something we give to a thing that effect's us in a way.
For me this name is yours.
Why, you ask?
Because hearing your name makes me feel happy yet sad,
Happy for the memories yet sad because you are not with me.

Tranquil knowing that you will always be in my heart.
Yet excited for the next time we meet.
Fear, for I fear I may lose you,
Yet out of all these feelings I'm glad I can say when I hear your name I feel.
