Here I am as someone else

I love the way you lie to me
All these words they have to be
Heartless as you make them out
So you can change what I'm about
...

These sorrows I had thought forgotten
Now I feel my hope has rotten
So shortly lived and quick to die
Or perhaps it found its wings to fly
...

I'm in a canopy
Of misery
Repeating lines
Of lonely rhymes
...

This idea I propose
I don't mean to impose
