Die Like Love Poem by Robert Sierra

Die Like Love

Rating: 3.5

I'm in a canopy
Of misery
Repeating lines
Of lonely rhymes
But every word
Seems so absurd
So cliche
In every way
Spoken again
And 'till my end
Not so long
It's not so wrong
It's mine to take
My life to break
My life that hurts me
And leaves me empty
I'm so broken
To think I'm chokin'
From hands so sweet
With every beat
My heart gets colder
As I get older
'Cause it's so easy
For her to leave me
Like I'm nothing
Wanting something
I can't hold on to
So I'll make lines new
As these slivers,
Parallel rivers
On a romantic
Who just can't take it
Like a heart unbroken
Just hasn't spoken
Words to cry for
And always wants more
To beat it faster
But towards disaster
And leaves in pieces
That die like jesus
But it's all real
But what they feel
Because loves a lie
To make you cry

For this girl...
