कुछ इस तरह मैंने जिंदगी
को आसान कर लिया....

किसी से माफ़ी माँग ली
...

मंझिलों को मेरे मुट्ठियों में,
ख़ुशियों को मेरे क़दमों में,
मुसकुराटों को मेरे होंठों में,
बाहों के उन एहसासों में।
...

साल भर घंटो पानी बहाकर कार के साथ सड़क न धोयेंगे
हर घर में हर एक को जरुर समझायेंगें की -
बहते नल के निचे बर्तन और कपड़ा न कभी धोयेंगे;
और होली के समय 'सेव वाटर' का झुट नारा न लगायेंगे,
...

सालों के उम्मीदों को,
दिल के अरमानों को,
लेकर चला मंज्ञिलों को...
...

The corporate polices decide my skirt length,
The fashion industry defines my shoe height;
The cosmetic industry redefines my beauty,
Year after years without failing their duty;
...

Today's festival of the year,
To celebrate it with our near and dear;
An occasion to spread joy and merry laughter
and exchange sweets ‘n' gifts to welcome Varuna's* daughter...
...

Every moment is born
from the death of another,
the bud dies and flower blooms,
the flower dies and fruits looms…
...

I may not remember how many times you cradled me
But, I remember you when you hugged me
That warmth has no expiry
It has a lifetime memory
...

हाँ. मैं शब्द हुँ
कभी बोलता हुँ,
कभी रुकता हुँ
कभी झुकता हुँ
