while potentially
increasing

softly sigh
soft we try
soft to remake ourselves

dutifully numb
i awake to the progress of humanity
i hit the snooze button of my apathy
i fall back to numb

the mundane of everyday life
wears at my soul as
i seek solace in the strange
...

the tree provided shade, as it stood
the leaves provided work, as they fell
i provided the quest; as i thought
to gather all the leaves
