All you feel is hopelesness
and you really don't know why
you try to smile and laugh it off
but inside you want to cry
...
To you I'd give my tender soul
you are the one I wish to hold
your smile brightens up my day
I love you more than words can say
...
You say that you have found her
the one you've seen your dreams
saying she's the perfect girl
I know she isn't what she seems.
...
Darkness surrounds me
there's nothing but shadows
on the outside I smile
on the inside I scream
...
Along the desolent, beach shores
lies a single set of footprints
In the dead of night invisible
in the heat of day clear as ever.
...
Your eyes filled with emotion
your smile sparkles like new fallen snow
I only wish that I knew how
to let my true feelings for you show.
...
I never fully appreciated
all that you have done
all the smiles and the laughs
made these four years fun.
...
I wore a smile upon my face
each and every day
I thought everything was alright
but you start to drift away
...
He entered my life unoticed
we met during sophmore year
cheered me up when I was blue
his soothing voice was so sincere
...
I've been writing poetry for as long as I can remeber. I've always loved it and hope someday to have my work published for millions to read. I am 20 years old and already have quite a selection of poems. I was born in melrose and adopted and raised in Wilmington, MA with the O'Connells. I hope my poetry is loved by millions someday.)
Normal
All you feel is hopelesness
and you really don't know why
you try to smile and laugh it off
but inside you want to cry
You think that this is normal
so you hide it from your friends
but soon it starts to worsen
then this feeling never ends
One day you finally realize
what you need to do
you finally get the help you need
you're done with feeling blue
The people that you meet there
they say it's going to be alright
you don't have to feel so hopeless
one day soon you'll see the light.
