A Fool In A Million Ways

They say that life is short in its span,
So go with the world if it’d change,
But I am not an adjustable spanner,
To change with people in every aspect and manner

The world’s in its doom and foolish ways,
With righteousness and modesty having no remains,
Trends will come and trends will change,
But to the surprise of the world I've my own ways

My words can, but not change the world,
And revert it back to the simpler days,
But someday, the world will know it’s a fool being made,
By money and gold in a million ways

Still I Rise (Sonnet)

Sometimes I wish my failures
Were fairy tales, I’d never meet,
Sometimes I wish my deepest fears
Were not the sound made by my own feet,
As I walk through the dark lanes,
Of shivery fear – my life,
But I cannot change my own fate,
Except a little as I try to rise,
From the endless pit of misery,
