1.
The Dark Figure

Dark clouds take over the beautiful blue sky. Leaving everything in darkness. Thunder and lightning join in on the darkness along with rain. Everything is soon soaked in wetness. I sit on a boulder outside. I make no move to get back inside. The rain dampens my hair and clothes. Thunder roars above me, trying to make me run inside. But it has no effect on me.
Drip, drip, drop, goes the rain. Bang, bang, boom, roars the thunder. The lightning is silent as it slashes through the sky and hits the earth. All I see is darkness and a few flashes of white when lightning strikes. I stare up at the clouds while the rest of my body is tucked into my arms. My breath is visible in the night time cold.
A cold breeze runs through me. I shudder but don't move to get inside. I let the cold wrap its arms around me as I close my eyes. Snap, goes a twig to my left. My head shoots up in fear. A tall dark figure stands over me. The figure was draped in a dark cloak. Its hands were white as snow and they seemed like they were made of bone. The figure carried a scythe. The blade was long and very sharp.
Fear takes hold of me as I look into the hood of the figure. Darkness was all I could see. There was no face to be seen. I began to shake with terror. The figure chuckled. It wasn't a good, welcoming chuckle. It was a deadly, scary, mean one. The figure reached its scythe free hand out to me. I didn't move. It's hand really was made of bone.

A Lost Snowflake

Little white flacks fall from the skies above, only to land on top of objects. Covering everything in sight. Everywhere I look I see a soft blanket of white. Crunch, crunch goes the sound of my feet as I walk through the white blanket. Leaving tracks of my presence. The bitter cold surrounds me as I move through the winter wonder land.

Chit, chit, chit, goes a squirrel. Tweet, tweet, tweet, goes the chickadees. I am surrounded by life. I let the bitter cold take hold of me as I sit on a rock. I stare at the little birds as they leap from one branch to another. The squirrels rush from branch to branch. Scurrying to their little holes to hide from the cold.
Whoosh, goes the breeze as it passes around me. A chill begins to take hold of me, but I don't move. I sit still in the bitter cold and close my eyes. All I hear is the chirp of the birds and the chattering from my own teeth. As I sit in the bitter cold my mind wanders. Almost like it's looking for something.

A Smile

What's a smile for?
A sign of joy?
A way to express yourself?
Or is it a way to mask your true feelings?

Did You?

Did you really mean the things you said to me?
Did you intend for us to end this way?
Did you mean to break my already shattered heart more?
Did you see the pain in my eyes when you said those hurtful words?
