smiling, eyes bright,
we dashed ahead into the future.

Do not spare me from harsh words, so that I may learn to speak kindly.

To see the world in her face,
Eternity in her gait.
Walk a million miles in one pace,
And say the universe in one phrase.

O, To live in a world that was simpler.
Where one’s only concern is today.
Where love is true and straight,
Where the word hate is unheard of.

I have an idea,
A little idea,
A tiny little idea,
Of what it is to be me.

Leaving my body,
I go far
To where the world is simpler,
And life more fair.

Today's the day I worried about yesterday, and all is well.
All that fretting, nagging, and gnashing,
all that worry, heartache, and pain,
all came to no gain.

who fell in love
and love did bear him out.

Beauty bars not pain but lies,
hiding scars in Beauty's guide.
