I love to create and see where inspiration takes me. I have spent my life living with an eye open for those little things that can lead to the next idea, invention, book song... or poem.
This is my poetry collection. I hope you enjoy.

Jeff Bresee Poems
A life sustained by water pure Yet marred by memory of the wine Like fragrant waft of soft allure Diminished not by hands of time
One struggles neath the ever bearing hand of tyranny One rises up in revolution, wanting to be free One gives his life a soldier so the rest might live in peace One celebrates in freedom as they cheer throughout streets
A BETTER WAY
It seems so very long ago, and yet like yesterday, We stood as one and made our vows to love and to obey. And with this oath we sealed our love until “at death we part”.
FEEL AGAIN - Song Lyrics
Passing by my eyes Are people living lives They flow before my gaze Just like the memories
Prayer Of The Modern Day Pharisee
Sinners, Publicans – Pharisees, Scribes Unto neither of these could I ever subscribe For I read of both groups in the scriptures each day,
WINGS OF FIRE
Into the darkened corners of desire Long left standing upon The un-swept floors of secret yearning Have I strived to press your memory away
When forever finally comes to town Not sure I wanna be around When it stands outside to Knock upon my door
BILLY & BENNY
You wake up in the morning Get something for the pot No longer can you tell Just what is real and what is not
POEM - WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME
A song, a rhyme… Just to spend a little time I always wonder What you want from me
I FOUND YOU - Country Song Lyrics
I walked every road I climbed every climb I paid all my dues And I…did my time
ONE OF THE FEW
No different am I than any else, I seek what others seek: The path that leads to ‘Life’ amidst a world so dark and bleak. And as I’ve sought, I’ve often read that ‘few’ shall find the gate
THE MENTOR I paused to stand and watch a man who had come to the road’s divide. My wonder soared as I watched his stare slowly shift from side to side.
I wake to find a scene unkind, on vessel I do stand. Adrift at sea; lost, scared and cold; in desperate need of land. From whence came I? What purpose here? Which course should I set sail?
A BETTER WAY - REWRITE
It seems so very long ago and yet like yesterday We stood as one and made the vow to love and to obey Then sealed this vow as things are done ‘until at death we part’

A life sustained by water pure
Yet marred by memory of the wine
Like fragrant waft of soft allure
Diminished not by hands of time
Forever clear the water streams
Yet never ends the draw to wine
Forever helpless so all seems
To purge the memory from my mind
Though water's healing - ever constant
Soft and clean and unaware
How often it hath quenched my thirst
And oft hath left me standing there
A gaze in awe, and silent yearning
Watching how the water flows
Mesmerized by every trickle...
Wishing I could just let go
Of every string ...
