007-The Night Belongs To Us...

|
When I wake alone in the early a.m., do I
think of you? Do I think of the way you
use to kiss me awake? Do I think of
you laughing as I begged for another
five minutes sleep? Every second...of
every morning...I think about you.
As I shower, do I think of you? Do I think
about the way you'd jump in with me-laughing,
throwing your arms around me? I can never
take another shower...without wishing that
could be again. I can not tell you...how much
I have wept...in our shower.
Do I think of you as I dress for work? How could
I not think of your snuggling behind me and
helping me with my tie? How can I not think
of you kissing the back of my neck? So many
times...our getting undressed...and late for
work-again.
Do I think of you on my drive to work? The car
radio-a curse. Hundreds of songs-especially
'our songs' remind me of you.
The food that I eat...the places I go...the people I
see...a million memories-it's you. All of it...you.
I look forward to the night. I look forward to sleep.
In sleep...I meet you in my dreams. I hold you...
kiss you...tell you how much I miss you...love you.
All my tomorrows are the same. Like a blind man,
I stumble through the day...waiting for the night.
The night...belongs to us. Let there be a time
when it is night...forever.
