A Prayer

A Prayer

A prayer from your mother,
Like a ball of rolling fire,
It burns all the thorns and vines in no fear,
Making your path safer.

A prayer from your father,
Like a furious spiraling tornado,
It blows all the dark clouds and thunderstorms in one go,
Leaving you only the colourful rainbow.

Remember to pray for your mother and father,
As they remember you always in their prayer,
Pray to God for their health in the time later,
As they might not be staying in this world forever.

poet Emily Jane Brontë

I am the only being whose doom
No tongue would ask no eye would mourn
I never caused a thought of gloom
A smile of joy since I was born

In secret pleasure - secret tears
