Beautiful Hat Poem by Kelly Zion

I've been looking all over town for you
I found a few ones but they're not that cute
I met the cutest one online
but that wasn't the right one or time

Oh, someday I might get to love you
Oh, yes, Love will help me get through
Love will help me get to you

I went down to Love's Travel Stop
I met the cutest hat at Love's

I knew Love would get me through

I've been smiling all day, my love
you're such a beautiful, beautiful hat.

Oh Alabama, sing me 'Down Home'
I've found my Country station at last
right under the shade of the cutest baby,
my beautiful, beautiful hat.

engaging idea; very good last stanza, effectively changing the poem's' focus and humanizing it. MM (Report) Reply
