Christmas Gift

Crystallized glimmering snowflakes
with each individual with their soulmates
gently saunter downward -
falling from the upward
whilst dancing magnificently
with one another - benevolently
blanketing the colourful land
into a cotton-like snowy wonderland.

Together we decadently decorate
the evergreen tree and fabricate
delightfully sweet Christmas treats - can't miss -
as they're truly a delicious baked bliss;
all with plenty of red-green glittering
painted pictures of flying
reindeers, Santa Claus, his tiny toymakers
are certainly profound merrymakers,
and frosty dancing snowmen.
A definite omen
for childhood happiness
to return with unimaginable hastiness.

Though, the greatest gift
of all that will surely lift
you in a whirlwind of euphoria,
which most definitely is a utopia
is to be together with your own
personal Saint Nicholas is more than a loan.

Poem of the Day

poet Christina Georgina Rossetti

Where sunless rivers weep
Their waves into the deep,
She sleeps a charmed sleep:
Awake her not.
Led by a single star,
She came from very far
