Compassion – A New Destination
A food for thought
For what is? What ought?
Those of you who believe in body and soul
Could we be a dichromatic unscripted scroll?
‘Time’ a highway, the ‘halt’ – life’s station
The ‘span’ a panorama of a traveller’s transition
The head a complex grey contraption
Other parts, haphazard addendums/additions
The heart, a nucleus of ‘supposed’ purity
Granted by Him, a guide on the path to divinity
Magnanimity, empathy in its oceanic expanse – could gravitate
Towards a meaningful, mellowed living – sublimate.
Sadly, the stark truth
Is far removed
Are norms for Your creations
Kick the frailest, the infirm and the downtrodden
Icons for most – Hitler and Attila the Hun
Are you too one of those?
Who bleeds each time a butcher slits a throat
Anguishes along with the bleating goat
Shivers at the callousness & glee
Most of us kick a forlorn puppy
We need to take a fresh stock of the situation
Its time for us to change life’s perception
Take a vow to take a compassionate view
To rework the body and soul configuration anew.
Else, a lack of harmony between each other
Would be a plasmic entity in a cadaver.
