`Death Valley - avalanches of the mind in α ρ μ α γ ε δ δ ω ν

Even though I had been raised
Never to fear the Valley of death
One day I found myself in its' shadow
Whilst down on the valley floor meandering
My way thought the last long stretch before I
Reached the level plain at the end known as Armageddon

There an' then commenced an ambush of apocalyptic proportions
Projected from a camouflaged demonic location
High atop the valleys walled embankments

In a seemingly endless cycle
Of calculated traps
S(he) it - the demon
Stalked and attacked
Nibbling furiously at my mind
Pounding /attack attack attack

Like one who had been possessed
I ran for my life
Out of the shadow
From the valley of death

Standing alone I found myself
On the plain of Armageddon
an' looking around I thought!
What a perfect place far a demonic showdown
Now that I could defend myself on open ground

From there I bid s(he) it - the demon
Come! - lets have a battle on this level playing field
Where I stand in, Armageddon

S(he) it - the demon refused me
Claiming it was only skilled in
Mind ambush attack techniques
Played with shadows
In deaths valley.

I think that most people could identify with that. Conflict and instinctual drives. tear us apart and its knowing the source of the stream it comes from.
