Distressed Disease

Anxiety frozen in time
Slows down every time we speak
Bliss fills the empty void
Once the distance works its way
Through the cracks

Trying to get through to you
No luck
Never felt the need to stop
Always wanting to comfort

Realizing I no longer gave a shit about myself
Invested all this time into somebody else
No reward, no gain
Practice makes perfect
But not in this line of work
Once it’s all gone
It’s gone

This anxiety will pass once again

Poem of the Day

poet Percy Bysshe Shelley

O World! O Life! O Time!
On whose last steps I climb,
Trembling at that where I had stood before;
When will return the glory of your prime?
No more -Oh, never more!
