Just like a moth attracted to the flame
I started to play this dangerous game.
Speaking words that should have remained unsaid,
awakening feelings that should lay dead.
It all began with a friendly embrace
our bodies met and I looked at your face.
I felt the tender warmth of your soft breast
press so seductively against my chest.
Just then I wondered if you were aware
of the thoughts and passions you’d awakened there
and I pondered as to whether you knew
that the man you embraced now fancied you.
Then as time passed and the months came and went
Each time we met I thought of that event
The passions would rise up again in me
reviving the feelings of ecstasy.
Then you appeared in my email in-tray.
The sight of your name brightened up my day.
So I broadcast my love in cyberspace
writing poems about our first embrace.
It's with you in mind that I have written
these words from a heart that has been smitten.
That first embrace with you stirred up in me
these words of love and rhyming poetry.
