Excuses Poem by John Pierret

GIRL, I ASKED YOU MILLIONS OF TIMES
BUT I KEEP GETTING THE SAME LINES
YOU SAY 'HEY BOO
YOU KNOW I LOVE YOU
I WILL NEVER HURT YOU
THAT IS SOMETHING I WILL NEVER DO'

WELL THAT'S ALL WHACK
YOU KNOW THAT
I THOUGHT YOU WERE THE ONE
BUT I GUESS WE'RE DONE

I NEED THE RIGHT ANSWER, I NEED IT NOW
IF YOU'RE NOT GONNA DO IT, DON'T MAKE A SOUND
YOU DID ME WRONG WHEN I DID YOU RIGHT
THIS IS ALL OUT OF SIGHT
EXCUSES EXCUSES, IS ALL I'M GETTING
THAT'S BECAUSE I KEEP LETTING
YOUR SWEET TALKS GET TO ME
NO MORE EXCUSES JUST SEE

WHAT DID I EVER DO TO YOU
FOR YOU TO TREAT ME THE WAY YOU DO
YOU WERE MY BREATH- NOW YOU'RE A SICKNESS
YOU'VE CHANGED SO MUCH, AND I DON'T GET THIS
I THOUGHT YOU WERE REAL, BUT YOU'RE FAKE
JUST LIKE THE PEACE LOVING, IN THE WORLD TODAY
I'M DONE WITH THE STUPID EXCUSES
SO TELL ME WHAT'S REALLY HAPPENING'

I NEED THE RIGHT ANSWER, I NEED IT NOW
IF YOU'RE NOT GONNA DO IT, DON'T MAKE A SOUND
YOU DID ME WRONG WHEN I DID YOU RIGHT
THIS IS ALL OUT OF SIGHT
EXCUSES EXCUSES, IS ALL I'M GETTING
THAT'S BECAUSE I KEEP LETTING
YOUR SWEET TALKS GET TO ME
NO MORE EXCUSES JUST SEE
