Fishing Memories - Poem by Craig Anderson

I walked across the city dump
Gathering thoughts of a good days fishing
Where upon I found some old fish cans
With labels and dates a missing
How did I know they used to be tins of fish
Was it the smell of old cod liver oil?
Not even the embossed stamp of John West did it for me
When I put my ear to the tin...I could still hear the sea! !

Wonderful, I must try that some time - I thought it was only seashells in which you can hear the sea. (Report) Reply
