Happiness

The sun is shining
Butterflies flutter around
Floating on clouds
my feet never touch the ground

Heavy breathing
my heart skips a beat
cannot wait until the next time
we decide to meet

Your face lights up
as i begin to smile
to see me happy
you go that extra mile

the sound of laughter
rings through my ears
always happy with you
no more lousy tears

So much joy
to see your face
could be here
could be any place

i am very glad
to be with you
our friendships grown
with my happiness too

poet Dante Gabriel Rossetti

Know'st thou not at the fall of the leaf
How the heart feels a languid grief
Laid on it for a covering,
And how sleep seems a goodly thing
