I have lived your life already

I have lived your life already

She leaves a trail of car crashes in her wake,
As men have to take another look and say:
Damn girl you are so fine!
You look like a super model in this mind of mine.

But wait, it’s me. Oh shit, it’s me.
What was I thinking? It must have been the weed,
That made me feel like this.
Now I have proof I am not good enough. I am a piece of shit.

Just because I could read her mind,
Have lead her life
And would be eternally happy with her as my Wife;
Just because of all these things; I thought, I think, I die.
I cry myself to sleep at night, because I must turn off the light
And picture her inside my mind;
Waving goodbye, not saying goodnight.

poet John Clare

I love to see the old heath's withered brake
Mingle its crimpled leaves with furze and ling,
While the old heron from the lonely lake
Starts slow and flaps its melancholy wing,
