Electric Lady

Love Is A Brilliant Disaster

I am a creature of mystery
No one knows who I really am
Ten years from now
Or even twenty years from now
I may be a ghost in the wind
I shall dance myself to death
With no conscience left
Just my little ears
Listening outside the door
For I am the drum
With the electric beat
You can't tell me what to do
I follow my own rules
These tears that fill the earth's void
Let them be tears
For they all mean something
I shall laugh until I can't cry anymore
Oh my heart's poor soul
Forgive me, forgive me please
These eyes are too gentle to see the light
But I can feel it pouring in
Deep in my skin
Like solid rain.

I can't even quote my favourite lines because this entire poem is my favourite line. Incredible expression, so very few can truly understand the immensity of these words, the feeling.... thank you. (Report) Reply
