Mr. Politician
The winds of hell blow in your face
Cold fingers close upon your throat
Can you see the anger in their eyes?
Look around you
See the mentally strong people feeling sorry
For their wasted energy and vote
There’s no denying how awfully terrible your heart is
It just couldn’t get this out of my head
When you said you were so into it
You swore you wouldn't be like them
No matter how much you deny it
You doing just the same
You are just as screwed as the rest of them

Mr. Politician
You promised things would be okay
You said the same thing every single time
Better education, Good roads
Dropping taxes, jobs in all places,
Better health-care and economy would be better than expected
I don't see the changes
This was easier said than done
Take it back
You know you didn't mean any of that
Just wrap it up
And throw it up in the trash
What better way to put the nation right on the top
Than fulfilling your promises
But none of the promises you ever made came true
If you talk the talk
You’ve got to walk the walk
But can u walk the walk?
Does that mean next time don't promise anything?

Mr. Politician
You desperately trying to complain
The world doesn't see what you have done
Quit the habit of complaining
You made a mess out of this country
The Economy is so rotten
Education is getting worse
Roads are lousy
Youth don't have jobs
You cheating the working class
Health-cares are deteriorating
Prices are too high on EVERYTHING
There is nothing you doing
Only filling up your stomach
You just getting richer
Believe me; your stomach's filled up
But you're starved with the capacity to bring back this nation where it belongs

Mr. Politician
The only time you spread your support was
When you were down
That’s an insult to us
We suffer pangs of regret upon realizing our wasted life
Words won't make us any better
There is no such thing as changing the world with more of the same of this
Practice what you preach
Attend to the nation with respect and duty
Tell no lies
Walk the walk?

Poem of the Day

poet Robert William Service

Three times I had the lust to kill,
To clutch a throat so young and fair,
And squeeze with all my might until
No breath of being lingered there.
Three times I drove the demon out,
