Nature Haikus-1

1 Dawn

Wakened earth dew-bathed
Sunrise ready with sindhoor
Ocean holds mirror

2 Morning Star

Up above so high
Still winkling starry night light
Puts out fast sunlight

3 Breeze And Sun

Wind pats its babe 'wake'
Breeze ripples-leaves cry'too chill'
Warms up eastern fire

4 Cockcrowing

Cockcrowing at dawn
Clocked sun in scurrying blaze
First 'good morning' wished

5 Sun And Lotus

Red carpeted sun
Alerted clouds disperse fast
Lures the sun lotus

poet Emily Jane Brontë

I am the only being whose doom
No tongue would ask no eye would mourn
I never caused a thought of gloom
A smile of joy since I was born

In secret pleasure - secret tears
