Prison Bars

A murder based world placed me behind bars of dark and cold steel
Since no one ever cared to water my roots when they were in need to grow deep
And these bars sometimes seem thicker and other times thinner, they either deride or weep
And it all depends on how guilty or not guilty they want me to feel
