Progressive Destructive Poem by David Joaquin

The world goes
To ones and zeros
Living a digital life
Technologies acting like a knife
Advances for humanity
More destruction in reality
All in the sake of progress
But more likely to regress
The ways of old are lost
But at what real cost
Real problems hide for view
Not knowing what to do
Disaster ready to strike
Due to words at the mic
Living with a sense of fear
Clutching those we hold dear
All of this will end
When man sees man as a friend.
