Raindrops

Like tear drops on the cheeks
Rain falls and washes the surface clean
Oh how it wets the ground
And leave no paints, come to me
Colours of the rain

It rained so I extended my hands
To catch a few drops by the door
Oh I could not count the drops
And see it's colours
What are the colours of the rain

Ask the light he knows them....
Tis hidden in the waters
The rainbows will tell you tis from the skies
Then lot more must be from there
Oh colours of the world

Like colours of the rainbow
Love is a mystery misunderstood
You can feel it but can't fully explain
It drops and soaks you wet

You cry for a dropp I cry for an off
Wait till you in and soaked
Oh drops of love get off my core
Like raindrops sweep away my feelings

In single drops it falls on you
So you ignore it, then doubles and triples
Soon you cry when tis late
Asking whether tis time yet

Oh dear marigold, come to me
And show me my favorite colour
Dear Lilly tell me if I can grow in swampy relationship
Then will the rays or showers reach my head
The reeds will have grown to frustrate me.

Poem of the Day

poet Alfred Edward Housman

The time you won your town the race
We chaired you through the market-place;
Man and boy stood cheering by,
And home we brought you shoulder-high.
