Song Of The Season

Shortlisting my dreams
I drop costly car
for a car

Beautiful bungalow
for a cottage

Expensive things
for cheaper ones

and everyday I repeat
this never ending process
searching a match
for my affordability.

There is no hope imminent
in the horizon
to fuel up
my desires.

I am practicing
more arithmetic
to locate
a foothold
for my shrinking ability.

Presently
a free fall
is the song of the season.

Whate'er we leave to God, God does,

The work we choose should be our own,
God leaves alone.
