David E. Patton (April,19,1953 / St. Louos, MO.)

What do you think this poem is about?

Take the night

Take the night

Take the night
From my sight
And broadback
The adoring day
Let me wait like
Endymion pace
Toward the rushing
Grave only nature
Can save the distance
Of remembrance
Urban air of
Skyscrapers cloudscape
And horizons of
Weeping bed
Quandary taught
By the mouth as
Some musical
Doubt that crawls
Stripped of rain
It is the quickjoint
That is insane
As some poem
Without a reframe.
