The big cat and the fudge
I was walking to school one day
When a huge cat stepped in my way
I offered the large cat some fudge
And asked if it would kindly budge
The cat took the fudge happily
And came along to school with me
Teachers and students watched in awe
As I held the cat by its paw
It went to all lessons with me
To Art and English and PE
But when we both arrived back home
My mother said, “HE HAS TO GO! ”
The cat and I went separate ways
I never saw that cat again
Sometimes I lay fudge on our front step
And as you might or not have guessed,
Every night it vanishes
