The Joys Of Life

A picturesque place,
A warm embrace,
A moonlit night,
A hand held tight,
A brand new dawn,
A baby born,
A sun drenched beach,
A juicy peach,
A cosy bed, to lay your head,
A home made pie,
A bright blue sky,
A blooming flower,
A nice hot shower,
A beautiful lake,
A yummy cream cake,
A wide eyed child on Christmas morn,
A gentle breeze through fields of corn,
A chance to love,
A chance to live,
A family to share the love you give.
Savour each moment with love and a smile,
For the joys of life make it all worthwhile

Poem of the Day

poet Henry Lawson

The old year went, and the new returned, in the withering weeks of drought,
The cheque was spent that the shearer earned,
