Where Life Takes You

Once we were young and very choosy
Making multiple colours of choice
Choices that we hope will bring about
The much needed change in our lives
Looking back I left no shadow behind
Childhood was bliss; growing up the woods
Was like growing up with nature
Now we grow so fast and went far
From the woods we use to call home
Here, we make new friends, new home
Women with multiple colours of mascara
Dreams change, we start chasing shadows

As time go by we realise we weren't the men we use to be
How time flies and dreams dwindle away before our eyes

    A realistic write,
    time flies swiftly...............we don't know where we'll reach on life's dire course.... (Report) Reply

We are as clouds that veil the midnight moon;
How restlessly they speed, and gleam, and quiver,
Streaking the darkness radiantly!--yet soon
