Whimpering

Whimper, whimper, whimpering
her happiness far away;
my darling sweetheart's soul is crying.
Her sorrow feeling, makes my heart astray -
unable to see your beauty
nor can I hold you in my loving arms.
Regrettably, I'm not there, but I should, as it's my duty
to be there beside you, so my heart can heal your harms;
my lovesick feeling grew, when you spoke painful
words of grand sorrowful sincerity, which affected me
so. However, I'm truly hopeful
that soon, if not the next day, I'll be with thee.
Whimper, whimper, whimpering
until the day that we will be together -
gently erasing your tearing
eyes; tenderly cuddling, kissing, and singing in whisper
to replace our lonesome sadness
and filling our love-conjoined souls with profound
cheerfulness.
