I've said goodbyes before
Twice unplanned by the seashore
Many unsigned at the tarmacs;

The day is soon to end
And man is set to rest
If to serve each day we bend
Sweet sleep shall serve us best.

pretty girl
I am happy for you, truly
that's my girl...crawling the aisle-
so all good mothers have done
...

Of all the girls that are so smart
There’s none like pretty Bethy
She is the darling of my heart
And she lives in our streety.
...

I walked among renowned men
In lands near and far
Nor Dele! Did I know till then
What love I had for you.

Evening Shadows

I've said goodbyes before
Twice unplanned by the seashore
Many unsigned at the tarmacs;
And not once have I said
One that made me feel alone.
Once I've had a kindred spirit
With a boss that stood admired
The air that blew around him
Hot so to warm the 'ITechy' stew,
Warm still to keep cooks in the kitchen.
At least for once, we feel nearer
Ourselves in the bathroom mirror.
Though it be your time to go
Thine friendship I felt before
I feel no less.

There were shallow and deep roads
And straight and bumpy waters;
But when we cross the river
Thine name we’d remember ever.
Evening shadows have come,
Have come to say we have the light.
Channeled vision has come, has come
To say we have a map.
Evening shadows told me
Told me a clearer window.
Evening shadows, thank you
Thank you for torching the light.
