The Feeling Of A Broken Heart

An organ that beats, to stay alive
Why does it cause, so much pain
The torture and torment, it inflicts
Death is the only way it ends
The insidious hurt
That it causes me
Plunged a sharpened device
into my chest
Remove the unwanted virus
the ache of wanting
to feel admiration
although knowing
it is only a myth
A story that is told to us
Our hearts, knowing the truth
The agony, of the pasted down curse
of forever more
The pain
The loneliness
Of a broken heart

Wanting To Say

So many things
I want to say
My words
Are kept at bay
They do not come easy
I’m afraid to say
I want you
To hear them
Trying not to push
