I built Four walls
around my battered soul
To help my eternal bruises
fade away
Misery and anger
took their toll
And turned my views of love
from white to grey
But then I saw your blue eyes
smile and dance
You lured my spirit
With your tender glance
I felt your warmth
Begin to melt my heart
As my defenses
swiftly fell apart
My solid walls
quickly began to fall
To open doors
with no more walls
I felt my eager soul
Flow into yours
As you pull me closer
I yearn for more
So now our new admiration
Blossoms more each day
And safely keeps
Old afflictions and fears at bay.
A new beginning, a new day has joy. A garden enclosed no more, , love has opened the door! . I loved this poem. Love; D

You lured my spirit With your tender glance I felt your warmth Begin to melt my hear.................... heart yet reels through mists of love as fountain cascades over riff of rocks yet soul sates once again melting reeks wall of separation yet slowly dissolves by enticing.....wonderful write by rhythm of reason implicit, ingeniously curved by the craving of heart as when sneaking into core within.yet it mellows deep,10++, thanks for sharing
