Casting shadow on day and you can no longer fight.
When the torch of reason and direction are lost,
and you’re fumbling around in the dark.

Did you not ever try to break for freedom
When getting caught up in that tangle of life
Or did you just face your duty head on
And not question the purpose of that early strife

Take up the mantle, face up to yourself
It’s time to let go of the inner child
And let your children know childish ways
