Does it ever reach your eyes
Or like the millions of smiles before it
A mere fake

When I was younger, I did not understand,
Why it was that I should aim for the sky
When clearly I was more suited to the land
And looking up only made me want to sigh

This spot upon which I stand
Have walls which I can reach by hand
Tall dreamy spires piercing the sky

A splash of water on my face
Droplets falling away to waste
The constant flow keeping pace
It always did, it always will

A hero sweeps past his enemies with ease
He has all the answers, all the keys
to rid all evil to rule the seas
And yet he bores to me to no end

I wake up every morning and I open my eyes
The sunlight penetrates through my camouflaging lies
For there is most definitely a hole within view

How does one describe this complex feeling inside?
To say it as mere words would be as if I lied
For it does not even come close to how I feel in my heart
