Hossein Gharibi Poems

It is fatal, strikes in a snap
First, the splendor works its way
Climbs the heart and in a zap
Kills the eyes of her prey
...

I had a flower, cared for, fed
Whose odor would rise a dead
I did wrong to leaves of it
With no single sense of wit
...

برآشفتم ز همدل، او سبب جست
بگفتم راز و کینه از دلم شست
برآشفتم ز دشمن، دیده اِسفید
نگفتم راز و بذر کینه رویید
...

There was a promise, made with no measure,
Unwritten, untold, yet meant to be kept.
While I was mounting, you dug for treasure,
Down you went without care, in't alas I wept.
...

The Moon's calling me
With a sweet song of the night
Silently draws me
Beyond what seems a fake bright.

Villain

It is fatal, strikes in a snap
First, the splendor works its way
Climbs the heart and in a zap
Kills the eyes of her prey

Eyes can not see but the hunter
World's brightness sums in here
That was start of the plunder
Now the sounds could not reach ear

She stole the sun and the sky
The stars of his empire
Victim had no wish to defy
As if she was thief of fire

The chain was joy and damnation
She was a dove and a reptile
He was trapped in his passion
And all she did was a smile
