The sun closed its eyes, darkness fell
Her blanket spread all over my earth.
Chill wind whistled along, crashing
Violently on the naked sea, offering
...

Beneath this sky the clouds travel still
And as the night falls on this hill,
They fall with darkness together;

Here or there,
Yesterday or today,
On the mountain or in the valley,
His strength never fails.
...

Water against water, splashing
Redirecting the troubled ship
Ever sailing in polluted waters.
...

The things done,
The things undone,
The conspiracy against Adam,
The unholy rape of holy volition,
...

In the cold lips the unspoken truth concealed, yet
Beneath the waters a world of recycled beings, refusing
To unveil the unspoken enigma of souls;
Many worlds in one, a conglomerate of elements
...

The blood stained sword unmasked, edging slowly
Out of its scabbard after years of sickening peace;
The terrifying moment of buried truths is near
Albeit unknown to busy bees in the federal capital.

Death is not in Gaza!
Death is here.
Death is everywhere.
Death is all around me!

You call yourself ‘The Law'
Fashioned to deliver decorum, justice
To humanity chaotic civilization.
You are so proud of your ultimate power.
...

That frown horrifies your face, adding
Years of weathering to your age, cracking
The concrete walls of your medieval make-up face.
Your repulsive lips bent, twisted in ugly pace
...

The arrows thrust against my shadow, the innumerable
Flights of dark wings across the sea all nights, hovering
Over my roof with itching claws, blood thirsting throats
Of greedy cannibals and vultures desiring my cool flesh,
...

The weight of terror, cast
Down shadows of doubts, heart
Terribly bleeding, trebling at the feet
Of labour lost to failure.

Another October first in the capital,
In all the jungle cities
And in the ever richly impoverished oil villages;

The drums are talking again!
Big party for the big party man,
Like it was four years ago
When he promised a road paved with gold;

No Longer At Ease

The sun closed its eyes, darkness fell
Her blanket spread all over my earth.
Chill wind whistled along, crashing
Violently on the naked sea, offering
Caress embraces to her violators, becoming
Warmly affectionate all night long, holding
On her breast numerous provisions.

Alas! This night, this place
Cold hearts, lacking affection except
Mockery smiles like the rains on some sandy deserts;
Voracious dogs, squandering and storing in alien land
The laborious fruits of our barren land.

Her fertile womb is no more, always yielding
To merciless fingers, greedy throats and stomachs.
Now dogged with the cruelty of her own, not like
The aliens of our colonial past, eating
But always preserving the seeds.

No longer at ease!
Blood stained swords enslaved the tongues.
Vultures, feeding on the carcasses of the weak
Hovering, now and again over the broken walls,
Split the land with endless violence.
There is no hope for the living dead, except
The survival of the indecent and heartless.
