The gray wolves gather to meet in their usual place
a circle of stone pillars topped with snow,
their shapes almost camouflaged on the icy ground
the pack leader jumps on top on the centre rock
...

There was a woman who wanted to be accepted
she was so unlikable because of how she with people
she was a victim in her eyes because of her past
but her torturer was not the people around her
...

I’m sorry that I’m ugly
never had a chance or a wish
to be anything else
it’s not by my choice
...

Childlike whispers remind me of the past
before I knew who I was
or could even talk
the time when I was with my mother
...

Have you ever seen a red elephant
playing golf in a yellow tutu
a purple giraffe wearing glasses
a brown pelican polishing its shoes
...

And I can remember them punching me
laughing as they did so
until at last the bell went for end of break
and they’d run off
...

I need a submarine to patrol the sky
a lemon to run a race
some truthful thoughts to tell a lie
a carrot to shave its face
...

A ship steams towards the shore
No port but a sandy beach
with tall palm trees stretching
like tired hippies
...

Though I know you not very well
and we have never met
I would like to tell you something
I hope you’ll never forget
...

In the last days the end of times
under a dying sun and decaying moon
doped up on a cocktail of lies and falsehoods
and believing themselves invincible
...
