046. I Need A Submarine To Patrol The Sky Poem by Jaden Knight

046. I Need A Submarine To Patrol The Sky

I need a submarine to patrol the sky
a lemon to run a race
some truthful thoughts to tell a lie
a carrot to shave its face

Three turtle for a concert
six crabs drinking rum
a fox that’s dressed in hunting gear
a pheasant with a gun

The gun shot out a corkscrew
which landed on the tip of my nose
the point painted my hair light blue
and a slug handed me green rose

I thought of this in a seaside giraffe
when my knee was stolen by Eve
my elbow was got by snakes
and now it’s time to leave

the third stanza could be smoother, in my humble opinion. yes, as the previous 'commenters' point out, you are creative, and i like the rhyming, but this poem is juvenile compared to some of your other poems which are truly outstanding. but then, we poetic geniuses must have some juvenile fun sometimes! thanks for sharing. i am curious about your poet's note. bri :)
