Jessi Hardison Poems

You race ahead;
What's the rush?
There's only so far you can go
Before your tires blow.
...

Don't you realize how you sound? How you look?
Maybe you'd learn something
If you picked up a book.
...

You are the sun,
Didn't you know?
You rise in the morning
With a happy face;
...

What if I could be one of a kind?
Be my own person, with my own mind?
Take my own chances
Worry about my own romances.
...

I tune it out
All of it - every shout
I stare off in the distance
Happy for one instance
...

I wish I could help you
Yet there's so much I've to do
How could I of known?
There was someone worse off
...

Lavender to scarlet
Leads sapphire to onyx
Brilliant noon to magnificent midnight
Time is carried on the wings of the phoenix
...

Tick tock, tick tock.
Does it ever stop?
Nope, never, sorry.
But, really, that shouldn't be a shock.
...

Inspiration. It comes at odd times, doesn't it?
I just can't quite understand it.
But when it's there, be sure to grasp it.
Don't let it slip away.
...

You give it out for free,
Respect.
You want it back, but you don't
Expect.
...

I catch that quick glimpse again.
That heartbreaking glance.
We're not perfect, not even close.
Yet still we dance this dance.
...

It's a tricky thing, this life.
Am I to be indolent, or gain success through strife?
Be elated then desperate, or pick up that knife?
...

You talk me down,
Anything to catch a frown,
Know you got to me,
Add more turmoil to my sea.
...

I am new,
reborn, unscathed
Neverless damaged all the same
I was a kindred spirit
...

She passes in beauty
She flees in ice
Her insecurity is futile
Feelings kept back in a pile
...

16.

Constantly you cover up; hide.
How can you not know I love what's inside?
Right under the surface I see it.
You are who you are, so be it.
...

17.

Get it right, won't you?
I've told you a million times right on cue.
Stressing me doesn't reap beneifits, you know.
So, leave me be, just go.
...

Tell me
I need to know
You told me you loved me
So, where are you? Where did you go?
...

You grace me, and haunt me
I adore your prescence, but you leave me lacking
When I am the same as before
I'm yearning for so much more
...

Nerve endings throughout my body going ecstatic
Evil tries to reach me, but it bounces off like elastic
Leaping and bounding with a peaceful tune
I'm hyperactive, as uncontrollable as a monsoon

The Best Poem Of Jessi Hardison

Stop Sign

You race ahead;
What's the rush?
There's only so far you can go
Before your tires blow.

You need a stop sign;
A red light.
It's time to slow down;
Life can be fun, don't frown.

Tap that brake -
Take a chance.
Wash your problems ashore;
They are no more.

Ok, so I feel retarded. These are both my pages. The reason I made the new one is because I couldn't remember the password for this one. Now I can't remember the email for the new one (the one this comment shows up on) So...I dunno what the flack to do.
