Faded Blue Jeans

He's got his hair pulled back
and his old cap on
Radio playing a Bob Dylan song
Cigarette dangling from his lip
Old leather belt
resting on his hip

I don't know what it is the boy does to me
but he looks so fine
in his faded blue jeans

His white t-shirt smells of sweat and sage
Old leather boots
show their age
Eyes are warm, hands are tough
Something about that boy
I can't get enough

I don't know what it is the boy does to me
but he looks so fine
in his faded blue jeans

Nothing Left

You left the keys in the door.
They hung on for dear life,
praying that some stranger would not take them
as you took me.

You left the pot on the stove.
It whistled a happy tune,
knowing not that the day was dark.
