Never owned a horse; like catapults, bows and slings, and love a single slow violin... apples and monkey nuts lit up my mind when I was very hungry until about twenty years ago. The Sitka Spruce is an almost perfect life form in my view, but the resin is ridiculously sticky for such a fine tree. Think Looking Into You by Jackson Browne is one of the greatest songs ever. First heard Browne on the beach at Brighouse Bay in the spring of 76 thanks to Donald Clint and Micky Crossan (on the tape player in Micky's pick up truck) after they gave Eleanor and I a lift to the shore one sunny afternoon as we were walking out to the Doon near Kirkcudbright. Only Human

I guess we didn't make our dreams come true
And where our flowers bloomed now weeds grow tall
It's strange to think there is no me and you
I guess we're only human after all

We rode the waves when love was blowin' free
We scaled the heights and never once looked down
We built a world from only you and me
Then brought the whole thing crashing to the ground

I guess we must have thought goodbye my love
For somewhere in our long and winding song
We lost the melody and lost the urge
