Jim Hogg 25 December 2019
Hi Bri... Aye, Elysabeth wrote that many years ago.. in the poemhunter war years, .. But Wordsworth waited until I was dead! ... That James Hogg came from a different branch of the family. Think I'm descended from an uncle of his - if the genealogists are right.. Hogg was a friend of Walter Scott's and a well respected versifier in his time, but his prose made him a famous Scottish novelist.

Every poem hits home with me in one way or another. How can that be? It’s why keep coming back over and over again... the words, the phrasing, the lyric and cadence of it all... just right.
