Small and warm across the chest
He has closed his eyes to have a rest
You pull him closer just to see
Your heart squeezes with so much glee

I sleep to your breathing
I wake to your alarm
I cringe to your screaming
As I hug you for calm
...

I look around at this world 
My perception has been changed
My feelings are all whirled
And yet unchanged
...

These children can run so very far away
Trampling the soft green grass with their tiny feet
Their boundless energy is endless today
As we fly past every possible seat

Run! Hide!
He is inside
Crawl… Make yourself small
Go! Behind the wall!

A breath escapes
Light brush of lips
Side of face burns
Goosebumps creeping
