They ask if a tree falls alone
Does it even make a sound of its own

But if a person falls and crumbles
...

I feel as though with thorns I'm intertwined
They pierce my heart, my soul, my mind
I cannot get them off alone
But I have no friends to call my own
...

Is it okay to not be fine?
Is it acceptable to decline?
Is it alright to tell?
Say, "hey, I'm not doing so well
...

I feel peace in the rain
As I trudge to the graves again
You can't tell I'm crying
Because of the water falling
...

Some days I wake up in pain
But I'm fine is all that I say
No one bothers to care anymore
And my heart will never soar
...

They ask if I'm all right
As tears blur my sight
I'm just tired I reply
They turn away before they see me cry
...

If A Person Falls Do They Make A Sound?

They ask if a tree falls alone
Does it even make a sound of its own

But if a person falls and crumbles
When after it all they tumble
Do they ever call out
Or do they remain strong and stout
Because no one is there to listen
And they remain in a silent prison
But if they do, what does it resemble,
a scream that makes mountains tremble
When the strongest of people break
Is destruction left in their wake
Or has it been so long
That they know only how to be strong?
So there is nothing more than a gasp
As everything slips from their grasp

So when a person falls with no one around
Do they even really fall, do they make a sound?
